Ranking

This is something we have been having trouble with on bayouboaters, coming up with good rank names. You and the members who contributed have done a good job on them.

Well the members really deserve most of the credit to be honest. I was originally going to do a nautical set up with progressive names matching navy names and I was also going to try to utilize navy type icons like the ones used on the uniforms. And then the members suggested using model names, so that's what we mostly went with. We still need a few really good names for some of the really high post count levels.

c10- I guess what I would suggest is to think of a theme of some kind and then just try to make names that feel like they progress. As was already suggested, perhaps there is something local to the Bayou that you could use.

One of the things we've actually never done here, is to make custom names for our reputation system. It might be something we could work on actually if you guys feel up to it.

We've been around so long now, that truth be told, the board software was so basic at the beginning as compared to now that most of these features didn't even exist back then. When we did the rank names originally, that was a brand new feature that had just been added during a software update. When we started, there wasn't even a private message system.

But I digress...
