renaming my boat

Named mine this spring....Bad girlfriend.... its a theory of a dead man song you would have to hear it to understand but it fits.

my kids have started calling my boat the "red rocket" without knowing how that term is also used....

pretty damn funny if you have a dog

Friend of mine who teaches physics and was always playing with speed modifications named his Fountain "Screw U."

That song came out right before I married my wife and most of my friends swore Theory wrote that song about her.
She has turned out to be a pretty good wife, although she still has a tendency to dance on the bar from time to time. Mostly when there is Gin involved. She wanted to name it "Gin Bucket" and I quickly nixed it.

Just read the other thread on renaming boat does it have to be under full moon didnt specify. and what if your boat didnt have a name that you know of???? mine doesnt, that i can find? but i will do the ceremony anyway just dont know the name to throw into the sea? can you be generic? New name wants to be PANDORAS BOX what you think me and wifey came up with that drinking in a hot tub we had some pretty far out names. but it was fun:rof:

Or have ever seen that South Park episode.

A great name for a fast larger mate would be "Bye Bye Baja"

The only bad side is if any given baja actually beats you in a drag. There's a local Baja with twin big blocks that i've spanked ever so slightly, but i wouldn't go teasing him with a name. That would force anyone to drop of few clams for that simple upgrade to gain a few mph. :irked:
Similarly, I had a very fast Hydrostream v-king that was named 'U-Lose'. Problem was a very highly tuned turbocharged Seadoo kept up with me one day and the dude threw me the middle finger before he broke the chase. Boy was I pissed! :eyecrazy:

Name...

My last boat we named "Serendipity" because we were not looking for it when it dropped in our lap.

Serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely unrelated.

Of course, I didn't tell my wife it was also a topic in Penthouse!:):sssh:

Now she wants to name the Senator "Serendipity, Too."

I kinda like it...

You would have to make sure that it was a very fast mate.....more like a Kunkel's setup:bigthumb:. It would be like the person who names his V-hull "Cat Killer"....that one would be tough to pull of.

Moral of the story.....there is always someone who is faster, smarter, and has more money no matter what you are into.

10-4 on that. I put many many 10's of thousands into my 69 Camaro to the point where I'm completely satisifed with it bumper to bumper. But when i take it to Ocean City MD's 4 day muscle car weekend, I find some nuts have that sorta cash in just the driveline. and I got 740 NA horses! :irked:

our boat is white w/ sweet 90's pink & teal trim , not labeled on the boat just referred to as 2 in the pink 1 in the stink ! :rof:its so wrong on so many levels its right ! i like the fire escape ! r you a fire fighter ? or in that biz?

Yes, I am a fire fighter. For 25 years now. I love my job, but still need the occasional escape from work. So I thought the name was kind of appropriate.

I am new here and to boating. I own a 86 diplomat I/O in met brown and gold. Because of its age and the color gives it and old gaudy, disco, pimped out look to it I naturally came up with Old School for the name. We had her out yesterday and I am really starting to get the hang of driving it faster and faster. I am still a little nervous when she jumps to much because of waves caused by other boats. But when the lake is empty and the water is like glass boy can she fly. I know she is only a small boat but I love this thing.:surf: BTW she is the only checkmate I have seen sofar, cool.............Rich
