Restored 1972 MX13 (Sold)

For Sale: 1972 MX13 (NO Engine) and Trailer.

The boat has been restored in the last yr w/ a deck off restoration. This boat is solid!!.....With a total transom and floor (center runner) replacement, the splashwell has been strengthened, new paint, and floor paint.

The boat has a foot throttle, center steer wire steering, water pressure gauge, tachometer, kill switch, two racing style bucket seats (snap in liners), and battery and tray.

The trailer needs to be sand blasted and painted but is solid and road worthy. I replaced the carpet on the bunks (bunks were solid), new winch stand, new chains, new lights and wiring, new rims and tires (w/ a spare). The hubs have been repacked and includes bearing buddies.

This is a fun little boat and would make a great lake rocket or a cool boat for the kids w/ the proper engine.

I have a lot more money invested in this restoration.
$1,600.00 (firm)

Hi Brad,
I'm saving the engine/ prop for my next CM project.

Anyone interested in a solid MX13??

Ttttt. I could maybe help out in the delivery if it is in the right direction. This boat would be a FUN lake rocket for someone!! It is a solid MX13.

I need the space to work on my cm tunnel project. For any cm member, I 'll sell it for $1,350.00. It is a great restored boat that is just waiting for an engine. It could be a great lake rocket or boat forthe kids.

Cheers-

Cool little boat, I hope you sell it, for what it's worth I had a hard time selling my mx-15 last year. It was all restored, 140hp evinrude, over 4K invested and was a great little boat. I had it listed for a year on here and S&F and although there were some interested people, no one was willing to drive 100's of miles for a little boat. I ended up practically giving it away to someone at work for $2000, the 140 evinrude was worth that but I had to sell it, I bought a starflite and needed the money and space. Good luck selling it, my experience taught me that most people aren't interested in a boat under 20' and if they are they aren never going to give you what it's worth. -shane.

SG- I remember your MX15, it was a very nice boat. I also agree that it is a very small market for these smaller boats. Most likely the buyer will be a local guy from my area or a guy wanting a MX for sentimental reasons. And if I don't sell it I'll just keep it for my collection. But as you well know, the cost to restore a boat like this is 2X+ the money once it is all said and done.

You had this boat listed on " Scream and Fly" as a complete rig. I thought you had sold it. I had posted some info about my old MX-13 regarding speed #'s and a couple of new members jumped up out nowhere. They ( I thought anyway) were going to contact you about an offer.

Apparently it didn't happen. Have you thought about re-listing it as a " boat only" back on that board. I know that the TCPBA ( TWIN City Power Boat Assoc) would have several members that should jump on it for their their racing class Formula V or V Production classes. It's PERFECT for that!

Hey Groucho, I had it listed on SF as just boat and trailer for sale. (I'm using my OMC Stinger on an old Cmate SE tunnel project.) I thought I had it sold on SF but the guy bought an old 14' Alli instead. Let me know if any of your TCPBA members are intersted in the boat/ trailer.

Sick video...I used to have a stinger 75 but it was orange not white. Great motor....loud...

14' is alittle big. I'm looking for something smaller....

8-10 foot range with up to a 40 horse....that will walk down the lake

not a hydroplane ....2 seater....

however, I'm not counting you out...:cheers
