Thanks Chris.

The pictures were taken after a cleaning, where i discovered i was out of StarBrite hull cleaner, and the local marina had already closed. I usually give it a good scrubbing to start the year with a nice shine. Goldenlake however stains every thing yellow due to its heavy pyrite content. Infact, stir up the sand the water sparkles, its actually quite beautiful.

To make matters worse, the motor now has no spark, the ignition works, the starter turns it over like a demon with the new battery this year, but she wont fire.

Back the shop it goes, as I am computer geek, and a less then useless mechanic. Worst part of all this, is this surely will be a parts need, and this is the worst time of the year to get parts, Im just prayen its ready for my July 1st lakefront party.

"A boat is a large hole in the water, that men through money into. It doesn't get and bigger, and it doesnt get an smaller, but it sure as hell never fills up."

just a suggestion... you might want to move your winch forward on the trailer, it seems you have an awefule lot of boat hanging off the bank and it looks like the COG of the boat is not centered on the trailer. With a heavy outboard you might want to move it forward. How much tongue weight does it have? My Diplomat with 150 sat maybe 2-3 feet more forward on the trailer and still had little tongue weight.

Anywho, nice boat

Usually on a bunk they recommend a couple of inches of bunk sticking out past the transom.

Nice boat. i agree on the trailer. Sitting to long with the back of the boat over hanging the trailer will over time make a hook in the hull back there. Not a good thing.

Hi guys,

Ok great thanks for the trailor tip, ill work on that this summer. Its finished repair, the emergency kill switch malfunctioned, but its all repaired now.

The boat rarely sits on the trailor, its in water from start to end of the season, with only one short trip a year. But ill definately take the advice to heart and move the winch forward, Ill measure for 3 inches of bunk overhang.

Thanks all,

Thanks for the offer, but shes all fixed. If i was half as good with vehicles as i am with computers id have fixed it myself. But im not. I took many mechanic courses so i understand motors and such, but thats the limit.

I leave the real work to the experts. Once reason my boat looks and runs extremely well, i pay for storage and all work to be done at a marina.

I noticed Ricks marina logo on your avatar, you work for Ricks? When i looking for my boat I stopped in to see you guys but you didnt have any used checks on the lot. I bought it at Carsons, wich isnt far from you if memory serves. the boat lives on GoldenLake so all work is done there by Killaloe Sports plus.

WOOHOO Boats in and running pretty sweet. Still need a few more hours to blow out the flogging oil, shes a smoken up good on start

I adjusted the trailor winch on advice and when she goes back on, it should leave me with a 2 to 3 inches of empty bunks in back.

Hopefully if all goes well with the weather, ill get some water pics of her. Planned a small group to go up and get some hours on the skis, knee board and tube this weekend. Dont use them near as much as i would like too.

Heya all!!

Ok back from my 2 and a half weeks holidays and man do iInot want to be at work.

The boat ran great this year, in fact the new mechanic at the marina is a true wizard. He tuned her up nice, im getting better gas mileage now and it starts much better and runs smooth as silk.

We got a few days out with the toys, even I got up on skiis for the first time in like 8 years or so. Had a grand time with my young cousins with the tube, they really have a good time skipping across the wake.

I went through 4 litres of engine oil, so I really put alot of hours on the water. Worst part is I caught site of a mate drivng by when I was in shore at the "public" swim area, and never got a chance to speak to them. Too bad too, looked like a pretty sharp machine.

Take care all. I have some in water pics, but of course left the camera at the lake. Will send them in when i remember to bring in back.
