SCT's monster

So SCT,

I heard rumors:sssh: the boat has made it's first splash :surf: :surf: recently? So how does that monster run????? post some info and pics, if the rumors are true. If not, I will make the offer to come down south and breark that beast in for you.:rof: :bounce:

What's up my brother, C-Fan? I've had it out a couple of times but I'm still breaking the new motor in. (I'm also working out a few problems). The motor is still in "break in" mode but I did finally nail it semi hard tonight and saw 80 (gps speedo). With several hundred rpm left, I easily expect 85. It drives like a big Pulsare and was very stable. The boat does porpise around 30-45 but I expected it w/ that much weight hanging off the back.

:cheers Looking good SCT looks like your sitting at the Rusty Rudder. Did you have to stop to get a cold beer after that ride. You should of called I needed to blow mine out after that long winter siesta.

Yeah Baby!

Now thats what I'm talkin about!

I'll guess 85 WFO.

On the porposing, my Sonic did that too. If you play with trim and tabs you should be able to stop it.

I spent a lot of time in mine with the tabs down a bit while having the motors "up".
Kinda balanced the boat on the tabs.

From the top of the mid range up, I pulled the tabs all the way up and the motors would then carry the bow.

Trying to post pixs of a project I'm looking at but can't get the "manage images" option to appear in my posts???

Congrats Shannon, GORGEOUS!

Gary

I hope you have a video camera, this could make for the best checkmate-in-action video yet. Maybe someone on here would be willing to ride shotgun for follow in a pace boat and shoot some video. -shane

my "pace boat" would need too much of a head start... lol

awesome looking ride SCT - you will definately need to post some video. I live just south of Richmond VA - how far is the lake you and Red run on - about 4 hours from here?

I saw a link for someones video to youtube from this site aka Boat run 70 mph... great video (js98snake on utube)- also found a neat one there - 202mph!!! - Thought some other speed freaks might want to see it. It is looking out the back of a turbine race boat. Talk about a rooster tail. OMG. It must be 100' high at some points and several hundred long at others. its amazing how quickly buildings dissapear from view. Takes a while to load on dial up but i thought it was worth it.

Hey SCT, The boat is a monstor. I am glad to see that you are on the same lake that I am on. I have got to see that in person. I could only imagine what that thing is like at 85 mph. I will have my camera and a beer ready when I see ya. Sweet setup!

SCT... YOUR KILLING ME!!!!!

THAT BOAT IS STUNNING.......

The ONLY way it could be better is 300XS's to be a little easier on gas!

I still have a month to WAIT before boating season starts for me...:( JIM

83P- I had it out for the 5th time today and I'm starting to run it harder. (I had to break in the starboard engine.) We saw 84 (gps speedo) w/ 3 people and 1/2- 3/4 fuel. With the current set-up the boat cruises like a dream at 70 mph but still doesn't feel right at WOT. I can't decide if I should lower or raise the engines. Also, the 4 blade Bravo 1s are not carrying the bow as well as I had hoped (they plane great and mid range punch is awsome though!!). I wish I had a pair of big eared Merc choppers to try on the boat.

I'll post some new pixs later-
SCT

where can i find 2 of those motors

ive got cash, and im serious. theres no such thing as a short shaft 300 here on the mid east coast.

3 minutes equals all day

if i could find 2 of those for my tunnel, i could cut the boat trip down to less than 3 minutes, and increase the speech loss, knee knocking and whiskey consumpsion down to less than 2 shots, and probably end up in rehab from the adrenalin overdose. theres nothing like going out on an all day boat ride costing 150$ in feul, all in less than 10 minutes. i love that feeling of just getting off the boat 2hours after after im home. it takes me 20 minutes now, and an hour before my friends can say thanks, lets do it again. im ready for that adrenalin overdose, and its worth every cent. ill drink to that, and then ill drink to my drinking to that.:cheers

Capt- I'm going to have to drink today and re-read your post to understand it!

Remind me NOT to go boating with this guy if he's speaking the same as above while driving a boat!! Maybe after I have a few (dozen) Captain and Cokes I can make heads or tails about what he's talking about!!.....but I think I get the point of his conversation!!:bigthumb:
