well i just picked up some glass and resin. im a cheap ass so im gonna try and fix what i have. $8 v/s $100 i think i know who will win this one.

I have a 1977 convincer. The seat bases rotted out. I cut the base out and filled the cracked backs with expandable foam. After filling the voids I shaped the foam and ground the exposed surfaces.Next I reconstructed the base by cutting a piece 3/4 marine plywood to fit the base outline. Next I used fine grain tigerhair to fit the base into the backs. To finish the job I used fiberglass mat and resin to join the backs and the base. The mat and resin covers the entire base. I did incorperate drain holes in the back of the seat base so the problem wil never return
Afrer remaking the seats I changed the seat mounts to be able to install turntables. The Seats now both can turn backwards

yes the glass and resin worked. it now sits an inch taller. its the passangers seat any how so......

Hey I'm fixing my Predictor I just got it had no back seat so I started make my own, could you send some pic's so I could sew some covers that would look orginal. Does the back come off to get to fuel tank and battery,I guess my is going to tilt then unhinge to get access

V8, Did you finish your interior. I am going to build a new rear seat and I would like to see some pictures of your design.

On my predictor I took out the box in the center. I made the seat base frame about 2" taller and hinged the seat base to give me storage under the seat. I split the back so I could take either side out seperatly. I put the battery and the trim pump on the port side to balance my weight. I had storage on the starboard side.

That sound good. I have kind of a odd set up now with seats on each side that are about 3.5 feet long X 22 inches wide and the back rest is held to the back with pins. I dont think this is the factory set up. I havent seen the interior on any other trimates from that time frame (77)so I could be wrong but what ever the case may be It could use an update
