senior project predictor.. test boat?

Actually there is a guy over on Scream and fly the has a 2.5L EFI on a Predictor. He said he had only opened it a few times but never did give any numbers.

thats sick, yea its just a 150 but i always have liked the lightweight covers and they keep you guessing lol.. has anyone ever put a legit 2.5 on one of these.. i kno it would be pretty pointless cause u couldnt use it, but no one did it just do it?

and did that boat ever run over 95 with the bridgeport?

Depends if your talkin speedo or gps speed, my wishometer has said over 95 before but the best on the gps is 85.6...and my speedo is a pretty decent gaffrig to. Its not a crazy ride at all really...very stable, just jack the motor up and no chinewalk at all.
If/when I repower this I'll go with a 2.5, the bridgeport is an efi so I'm at 240hp right now...a 2.5 would get me 260 or 280 depending on which one I go with...unless of course I could save the pennies for a drag motor.
what lake is your house on?

thats sick, the hydraulic steering prally helps alot too...yea when i repower it ill look for a 2.5ss or a bridgeport then, cause the 150 will prally be a little tired and ill want more power in a few years. im pretty happy w/ it tho and when the jakplate, dual steering and low water are on it, it should keep me happy.
my lake house is in south hero (north of burlington) vermont on lake Champlain in keeler bay.. ive seen atleast 5 predictors up there, theres actually 1 right across my bay w/ an inline 140 on it.

my dads friend also has a predictor (which he also went out to the factory to pick up),with a 85 150 merc, it doesnt have a jackplate, but it has a hoot foot and hand trim, it runs lk 75-80 w/ 26 triton on the medallion speedo. this is the boat that made me want to get a predictor when he took me for rides in it as a little kid. my dad sold the one i have right befor i was born for a 19 foot laser ( which he still has a 21 foot version) so he could have more interior room and a little bit more ski friendly boat.

Just for example so you know (I am not trying to steal your thunder) but my Predictor with Merc 150 Xr2 runs 75-80ish on the speedo. But according to the GPS I was running 63. At the same time it felt like 100.

Hey yup I've posted quite a few pics on the board, just search under my profile you'll find em. :)
The jackplate will make a huge difference in how it handles. The hudraulic steering is great, can't feel the torque of the motor through it and the wheel doesn't move unless you move it.

not yet, i just have the one w/ me in the back of it, ill get one later this month and post it, i think it was the only 1 made battle ship grey i was thinking of painting it, but i may just wet sand it and just clear it to brighten it up.. u have any pics of urs? i always liked the xr2 graphics

GFM can't wait to see some more pics. Heck your close enough to me that I might see it in person someday. There will be another checkmate gathering @ sebago next year. I missed this years, but aint missing next years.
I wish I still had my predictor, that way we could make a predictor gang.lol

ill deff be up for that meet at sebago, ill have the boat down here a lot next summer so we should deff meet up. ill post some more pics of it
