Boat(s) of Month.....

As some of you may know.....Checkmate has been giving a prize ( hat or something like that ) to monthly winner of boat of month. Can't give a hat to everybody's boat in picture.....so guess this month goes prizeless :( .Not a big deal but we mite want to remember that when picking or voting...?

Wow for people who are as loyal to there boats and your company as the people on this site are. I guessing your cost at about 75 whole bucks to do advertising for you guys at checkmate!!! Shame on you sir Shame on Checkmate!!!!
Now I know why you guys are building BAAAAA -- Jaaaaaaaa's. Very weak answer. I will tell you what get a price on the hats and I will pay for them!!!:(:(:(:confused::confused: And then you try to influence the vote by telling us not to vote for that shot!!! As far as I am concerned you can take you prize and stick it where the sun doesn't shine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my goodness. someone send this guy a hat. quick before someone
gets hurt..lol.. maybe a good remedy would be that when there are
mutiple boats in the pic give the prize to the one who nominated it.
i didn't think the problem was big enough to blow a gasket over, so
get him a hat. i still think it's a nice gesture by checkmate and in
tough times in the boat market. some are filing bankruptcy and checkmate
is giving away hats..wake up check this:(
 
Well, I'm not angry like Check, but I'm not sure I understand that as a business decision. Sure it's a tough market, but promotional stuff like that can be written off, and that gets the CM name out there. The other great thing is that anyone that's on this site is going to rave about Checkmate boats- what better way to make it part of a conversation than to give someone a hat, shirt whatever. Good word of mouth is the best type of marketing you can get... and when you can basically get it for free (write off) it obviously makes sense.

As far as September goes (and multi-boat shots), I think either the nominator or photographer should get the prize- I'd lean toward photographer.

Either way, thanks to CM for the swag you are giving out!
 
What B/S is this?? How many monthly nomimations offer pictures with that many boats?? What I am most pissed off at is the fact that he believes pic's like that should not be nominated because the can not win a prize. Guys I am sorry but that was tasteless on his part. We are customers of checkmate no matter what year our boats are, to be so petty, is about as petty as me even responding to his ridiculous post. Like I said I will buy the hats. The arguement that times are tough should mean do not offer nothing at all. If times are so bad as some have said why is C/M poping Baja'a out of the mold like it nothing.--- I guess times are not tough for that but they are to come up with 6 hats at a cost of about 75 bucks whole sale!!! To think I was just about to order one myself!!! Yeah right!!! :(Just the six for the winners they deserve it!!!;)

Well personally, I appreciate the gesture that Checkmate, Kip and Dean have made and done for a number of months now, in sending out a small prize to the monthly BOTM winners.

For what it's worth, I think it's a really nice gesture on their part. :thumb:

And I expressed mine -- NYC had nothing to do with it -- no whinning here. By the way there can never be winners iust a winner -- we do not have enough hats.;) By the way I dont care what you have heard enough off. Keep postin maybe by the end of the night you will be up to 2000-- then you can just blame me.:bigthumb:

Here I am sticking up for the guys in the picture and trying to get them there due and you bring of wives. Sticking up for C/M while our poor members have to be hatless. I wonder if you got a hat.:p By the way you right life is not that hard. You can not call someone a (B) when you have taken that role for C/M --- believe me. you aint gettin anything for free!!:D

Didn't mean to cause such a ruckus .......whatever you guys think. Picture taker or nominater is fine. Just for record ....i wasn't trying to influence anything. It is BOAT of month not BOATS ........or maybe it should be picture of month ? It's you guys web site.....if you get right down to it...... so whatever you (or chris) want is fine with me ( us ). Just trying to give a free hat away every month .....DAM !
