serious power increase

as many of you know i had some issues with my 454 in my convincor so ive decided to part it all out.. anything big block related will be up for sale here shortly.

i will be purchasing a new motor from my good freind and respectable motor builder here locally
the motor is a 92 4g63t 2.0L yes thats right a 4 cylinder
the motor currently makes 852 hp and 654 ftlb the motor is fully built and will spin up to 9k no problem and hold it! :lol:

details to follow.

:popcorn::cheers:

You may want get your home checked for lead based paints.. IMHO

:lol:He might be smoking that new synthetic marijuana I heard about recently......I heard that it works good but I could never dream that it would be good enough to make a statement like that!:poke:

im sure it can be done but the ohv chevrolet engine is probably the simplest motor design out there and it sounded like you struggled with that im not sure why you would want to move on to a project like that im sure you will end up having to fabricate parts just to make everything mesh are you sure you want to take that challenge on it took you almost a month to realize that your tach was not working i wish you the best of luck but lead poisioning sounds like a very likely symptom do your teeth hurt are you always feeling sleepy any uncontrollable twitching or paralysis

The issue with the type of engine you're talking about is that they don't make enough torque to move a boat.

Law of Thermodynamics #1
This law says that energy can be transferred from one arrangement to another in many forms it cannot be created or destroyed, only borrowed. The amount of energy available is constant. Einstein designed an equation that correlates the relationship between energy and material:
E = mc2
In the equation above, energy (E) is equal to matter (m) times the square of a constant (c). Einstein suggested that energy and matter are interchangeable. Notably it is accepted that this equation also suggests that the quantity of energy and matter are fixed.

Mathematically this cannot work.

just to clarify.... he was trying to ride my 750sx stand up jetski today and may have hit his head rather hard on one the times he fell... :P

What make is a 4g63t you are useing, I hope its not the Mitsubishi
mitsubishi is the only one that makes a 4g63t:cheers:

nope no lead paints...

drugs are bad mmkay

i google'd that, and it shows as a mitsubishi . i don't think it's going to last turning 9g's in a boat!
they last perfectly fine doing speed way runs at 10.2k

didnt struggle with the chevy.. and my tach was reading right.. it just wouldnt spin above 4500

makes plenty around 4200 and just keeps rising. it will be propped to a 21 pitch

sure it will work... helicopters arent mathematically supposed to fly either:banana:

if anyone is questioning durabilty although my motor wont be stock it will be fully forged. and built.

stock components break down as follows
stock pistons handle to 500 hp.
stock rods handle to 700 hp
stock crank can handle 1200 hp for a few seasons of racing.
upgrading cams and springs will allow you to rev wherever you want and still make power as long as rotating assembly is over balanced and lubed!

Using the parameter PL [hp/ft^2], we use an empirically defined formula to calculate the thrust loading . The load of thrust expressed in the units of pound per horsepower expressed as a power and rotor disk area. Thrust loading (TL) is calculated:
Lift = TL * power [lb] = [lb/hp] * [hp]
A simular equasion for marine propulsion exits, since you implied mathmatically, a helo cant fly, I provided the lift equasion.

i always figured it would work just be a huge pain in the ass to do happy is that the equation they use for maximum takeoff weight in a helicopter

Werent you having enough problems trying to get your boat to mach3 without the engine running?

Good luck and have fun with the cnc machine.

Wait, did i just see that you said helicopters arent mathematically supposed to fly??? Wow bro- go back to simple Newtons laws, airfoils and lift and weight?
Good luck, ill be waiting for this update:popcorn:

the air setup would be a hta variant of a gt40. psi around high thirties low fourtys

as far as speeds it will vary .. we will find out.. i will be starting with a 21 pitch prop we will continue to swap props until we find out where it will be happy.

the motor will use the stock car harness and computer with dsm links.. its tuning software and i can change every aspect that i need.
it will be fitted with a wide band as well.

A years worth of tow insurance is only $55.00 with a 25.00 rebate from U.S. TOW. Might want to look into it. Good Luck and hope to see you fly by me on LSC next year. merc245
