Shaken Not Stirred GT 150 james Bond Restoration

I was working at a Drive In Theater during my junior high & high school years. And I quit in May of 1973 just before I graduated and just before that movie was released. I was the projectionest when I quit and I got to show a lot of great movies. It was unfortunate for me that I quit before I got to show that movie. But it is the last movie that I ever saw at that theater. That boat is a nice fixerupper.

I had a 76 CVX16 back in the late 80's and loved it. I'm also a 007 fan. At least the old school, Roger Moore era stuff. Cool project. I enjoyed reading the L&LD trivia.

A very cool project. I'm also a 007 fan. I've got the James Bond Collection on DVD.:thumb: Welcome!!!

I had a '78 CV-16 with a 115hp Johnson back in '81 or '82, rode the boat for about 2 years and sold it for more than I gave for it. I actually had 2 guys fighting over who was going to get it. One of the true boats used in the Bond movie was located in Western Kentucky about 20 years ago, I wanted to buy it, but the owner thought it was gold lined (way over priced). Great boats, I wouldn't want to ride Kentucky lake on a 16 foot boat now, my 25' Convincor is almost too small

Welcome. Interesting post and good luck with the build. A buddy of mine had a 15 foot Glastron with a 100 horse Chrysler that we used to have a blast with on Torch Lake in Michigan close to 20 years ago. Not sure of the year, but it was a great little boat.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

I used to own a Glastron 1980 ssv163 when I was 12. It had a 115hp merc on the back with an empty tank of gas and my 60lb frame I could push it to about 54mph the only boat I would loose to all summer in a race was this gold checkmate that was always there every weekend. Must have nearly flipped my boat 2-3 times trying to beat that thing lol

Glad you like the blog trying to get more done but money is tight now but hope to hit the lottery soon or find a rare baseball card in the wall so i can finish lol : )

I think I may have found an engine a 1975 freshwater only Evinrude 135 SILVER STARFLIGHT. It will work until I find a great '73

Fiber Classics Boats - Buy a "NEW" GT150 today!
Well I got to admit I love restoring an old boat and bringing it back to new but there are some downsides. Lots of $$$$ spent, lots of work, lots of time and lots of luck in finding the perfect boat. Also a full restoration is not for everyone.

But... I've just been introduced to Fiber Classics Boats they are a manufacturer of boats and watercraft right here in Massachusetts remaking some of the best of the older runabouts at very very reasonable prices. Currently they are making the GT150 with custom options and colors and have plans to make the classic G3 in a jet drive version, very very cool!

If anyone wants one of these boats in perfect condition without having to spend the time, effort, and money to restore one you have got to check these guys out!

Mario is the owner and their facilities are below: Tell him Alan from "Shaken Not Stirred" sent you for a sweet deal they have GT's ready to go now for the spring.

I think those hulls are made in overseas in Asia, aren't they? Middlesex Powersports is just a dealer, not a manufacturer. They manufacturer's website has no contact info other than it's dealer network and no address listed anywhere that I can find. I'm not knocking the product as I have no first hand experience, but this is a Chinese company that has made a "look alike" if I am not mistaken.
