snsg's progect pics

it only has an 85 hp motor i think i could go a bit higher, anyone know a max hp rating for a 1977 trimate II?060120044518.png

Looks great from here. You are going to need a jack plate to get that motor up a ton. Its running real deep.

Not in blue, but I have all the front seat shells covered in brown. It would give you the shells and the patteren to get them covered in blue.

Oh I don't know. Free sounds about right. I will be heading to MI the last week in July. I will bring them with me. This way you have to come to the get together to pick them up.
I also have the material for the front. Mine came with a bench across the front and then a seat back infront of the driver and passeneger.
Heck I can bring all the patterens with me if you want.

that sounds very cool i would appreciate that alot and it would be cool to meet up with you so i will keep in touch till then.
i am going to enjoy it this year and redo it and paint next winter so that would work out perfect.
thank you!

Not a problem. I may have to bring the extra jackplate with me so you can get that motor up.
What the board. As the summer gets closer I will have to start a thread to see how many we can get together. Also the when and where.

that sounds like a plan.
i entend on removing the motor and installing a cmc hyd tilt/trim with 6" setback i found a used one localy for about 150.00 they are checking it out now to make sure it is all up to specs not sure if i will be able to get the motor up with that or not.

I would enjoy meeting all of you guys from the board but I cant drive that far. I was planning on attending the Rondack Romp in upstate NY this June, but If the checkmate fanatics are going to have a romp of thier own I would be there for sure. I may be able to get two other checkmates owners to come too.
I would be willing to drive to western NY or northern PA.

no 175checkmate motor dosen't have tilt it is a 1976 evenrude 85hp
it has been very well maintained so we'll see how it runs.

checkmates love trim!!
you will definitely want to trade up to a v-6 with power trim.
put a 6 inch hydraulic jack plate between the engine and transom
raise the motor and trim it to the moon'
you will not believe the way the hull responds

yeah i am currently looking for a 150 hp if it has tilt/trim then i am going to put a jack plate with a 6" setback 175checkmate said he had one for me.
if not i am going to put a cmc tilt/trim with a 6" set back.
i think i am going with the cmc anyway for my 85 hp because i can get it so cheap until i can find a 150hp.
