I am going to put a 6 inch setback, 5 inch rise hydrolic jackplate on my enchanter, so how can I tell if my steering cables are going to be long enough. Its a dual cable setup..

I don't have any pics of my cable setup, but it appears that the previous owner may have routed the cable out of the transom in an effort to reduce the angle caused by the additional setback. I have (previously installed) a 10" J/P. I don't think the cable could have exited the oem location and comfortably made the bend w/the J/P. I just thought I'd mention that because it seems that eve a 6" plate might create more of a bend than wanted in your cables.I am going to put a 6 inch setback, 5 inch rise hydrolic jackplate on my enchanter, so how can I tell if my steering cables are going to be long enough.
