I've decided to put the Enforcer up for sale, this will be the same ad on Craigslist.
For sale: 1983 Checkmate Enforcer SX 23 with a 2001 Evinrude 250 hp. The motor titled in 2006 and has 53 original hours. The motor sits on a 12” powder coated setback bracket and a 5” jack plate. The boat has hydraulic steering, trim tabs, GPS and AM/FM CD player with IPod connection and 4 speakers. The boat has a new transom, floor, wiring and hardware replaced in 2010, new paint in 2012. The interior is 5 years old and comes with a bimini top, cockpit and full cover, and also has cushions for the cuddy cabin. The boat comes with a tandem trailer with new 3500 lbs. axles, hubs, tires and brakes. I’m asking $10,900 or best offer.

Had four emails when first listed on craigslist, two were scammers, one a tire kicker and the last one wanted to do a cash plus trade deal.

Gotta love Scammers on craigslist. I had one that asked for my paypal account to send a deposit since he was out of the country. Then asked if I would remove the ad from craigslist. So I decided to have some fun with the scammer. I told him I was out of the country as well and we should meet in person to discuss the transaction, never heard back. Bummer!!!

I went back and forth with one that wanted to tow his truck to me from OK to OH for head gaskets. I went back and forth long enough to get a stolen credit card # from him. Scammers are everywhere.

Don't tempt me! Been thinking about another one before summer. Maybe a pontoon... Something under $10k that'll seat all 7 of us. Or maybe I just don't tell the kids and get something fun!
