(SOLD) Selling my 245 hp/Starflite Combo

merc245

Well-known member
I'm selling my 93 245 hp carbed 2.5, completely stock from flywheel cover to airbox. In apx 2002 a new factory long block installed ($8000) with a re-ring job using mercury gold rings ($500)done 60 hrs ago (gaged). I'm including the 92 starflite hull and trailer. I'm placing no value on the hull as it has many issues and the trailer is well traveled but well maintained.

The extra's with the hull include: CMC hydro J/P, 10 inch offset bracket, ski pole, dual battery, $180 underwater blue light, land & sea foot throttle, 2 yr old $400 marine grade radio and amp and wheel mounted trim buttons.

Issues of the hull are, soft floors, long history of transom problems, deck and hull separating and faded gel.

Basically selling the 2.5 and throwing in the hull and trailer, will not separate and sold as is for $3,000

I'm the 2nd owner of the boat, and the motor has always been turn key since day one in 1995

Jeff at 734-552-2571 or mercury245@comcast.net I'm located 20 minutes south of Detroit, about a mile off of I-75 (exit 32)

Someone buy my Vmax so I can plan a road trip to see Jeff! Run this beast for a couple of years and track down a twin to the 245 for when the flight finally gives in!

Yes, you could have a real Rat Rod, get a couple of 20" Rat Fink stickers for the hull and be a Rat Rodder. At least that was going to be my plan for the Bay at the end of June! :thumb:

Hey, I thought you sold that a long time ago.. Do you know what the plans are for who ever bought it.... I really want that swim ladder if they are not going to use the hull.

The Guy that bought it came down from upper central Michigan, He had many performance boats before. Hell, By the time him and his hot wife left out of here, he was convinced all he had to do was use a little diamond cut paste and a wheel, seal the split in the deck and hull and They'll have one of the hottest boats around. Sorry Merc245

His wife is hot. I went and looked at a Daytona he had for sale a few years ago. I think he is gonna put the motor on a 18 seabold tunnel he has.

is he a member here I could shoot him a quick message? Damn that was a sweet deal... I shoulda saw this a month ago huh.. ohh well
