since it was posted :offtopic: in the other post, lets start one for St. Clair meet ups this year. jobbie nooner being one of the first is June 25th. i will prolly be out there every weekend from may till october but lets see whats up with the rest!

I went to check out the 11 mile boat launch. Man it was steep as hell. I am sure I wouldnt be able to pull the boat out of it. I just cant get any traction with 2 wheels.

Are there any others in that area?

Keep me posted, I'd like to hit it at least once this summer. We were just talking about Jobbie last night so I may be out there then.

Matt, There are two that I use.Theres the Metro Park at foot of 16 mile road. The only proplem which really is not much of one, you have to Idle out thru black creek about a 10 minute ride. But on the weekends that is a party all its own.It get busy as Telegragh Rd.

Then theres the DNR ramp at the mouth of the Clinton River. Its nice and puts you in right at the lake.Take 94 to north river rd head east cross over the bridge over the clinton river to south river rd and just continue east.

Both ramps have many lanes and are well maintained and have plenty eye candy around!

those are both the ones i use. had a 4wd truck and never had to use it and im pulling out a 25ft sunny. this year 2wd truck so hoping for the same situation. like merc said, metro is a long ride out but may be able to pick up some nice eye candy on the way out there :bounce:
either one of those launches are pretty much a straight shot to gull island(jobbie) or muscamoot bay(raft off and every other weekend all summer). if you launch from south river road i do a pretty decent swing to the right while heading to gull cause there are some shallow spots if you shoot straight across.

The DNR Selfridge launch at the end of M59 is good as well. Best thing to do is buy a DNR sticker for 26 bucks and then you have many options all summer.

yes definatly good to buy that sticker, just remember metro beach is another sticker......stupid they cant all work togother. my truck gets 3 stickers every year, state park, state boat launch, and metro parks. $75 on the stupid windshield every year:sick:

I plan on hitting LSC at least 1/2 dozon times this year. Its only 45 minutes from my door to the ramps.Really for great water, great sandy bottoms, and a ton of places to go and things to do, it worth the 45 min drive.

can't make any easier Matt.

Its only 35 Mins to the DNR ramp from me. I really hope I can get out some this summer. It looks like I will be working my ass off most of the summer. But I guess if Im not working I cant take the boat out either. :p

Yeah, I know. What kills me is when you pull into a state park and the dnr officer comes out from the gate house and tells you your DNR sticker doesn't work at the ramp and you need a state park sticker HMMMMM :poke:

so when is the 'mate get together on St. Clair??

I have no interest in jobbie, i really would like to go-but not on my boat,

i dont want peeps climbing all over my chit.

but i do wanna make it down there this year, Thats for sure!! :surf:

If anyone going to STC is looking for a passenger who comes with some gas money and a case of beer, let me know. I don't think the Enticer would be fun over there, but I'd love to see what it's all about.
