Steering Wheel

Hey all!
I have been searching for a while now for a new steering wheel for my Exciter.
As you can see the one i have doesn't quite match with the rest of the boat. (20 dollar plastic one)

Below is a picture of a Grant 990 that i plan on purchasing as I cant find an original checkmate wheel from the era.

My concern is that it is 14.5 inches. Will this look to big for my boat? Does any one have an idea of what is acceptable? I don't want it to look like a took a steering wheel out of a 1980 Mac truck, but I certainly what to keep the classic look.
Any info would be appreciated!:poke:
Thanks!

From what I can see in your photo, that's a really nice looking Exciter you have.

Here is a picture of my Checkmates dash with a 14 1/2 Grant wheel {I believe the original wheel was 13 1/2} --- the 14 1/2 fits really well.

Good luck.

Thanks Kurtster!
That's exactly the information I was looking for.
And nice rig!

If you're interested, I have a wheel that looks very similar to an original checkmate wheel. I'll send pics if interested.
