Swim ladder options

I have a Trimate II, but this isn't just restricted to Trimate owners. I see a ton of people on here that don't appear to have a stationary swim ladder on their boat. How are you getting in the boat from the water?

I'm doing a lot of work on the Trimate and I'd like to know what my options are before I bolt some hideous ladder back onto the back.

Thanks all.

I have the same issue with my 73 TRV-17. I don't want to bolt on a ladder that I may regret. I tried one of those rope ladders and they are useless as your legs and feet swing under the boat. I also tried an aluminum hook ladder but the sides of my deck are too wide for it to hook on. Maybe if there is a company that makes ladders with wider hooks many of us here could benefit.

I have a teak platform with a one step fold down ladder. Works great!

I was thinking about fabricating some sort of platform while I'm rebuilding my transom, but with as low as these things sit in the water I was worried about it basically dragging (at least until it's up on plane).

What boat do you have the platform on and how high up is it?

Its on my 21' enchanter. Its right above the D hooks. No water dragging at all but it does taper in.

I found these http://www.garelick.com/prodcat.php?subid=AB04 as I too have been looking for a way to hop back in my lil skimate without having a cumbersum goofey thing flopping around the boat. I have written the manufacture to see if they will actually fit in the amount of room that I have. For the bigger boats on here, this is a nice addition to the boat.
