So I would like to get a swim ladder but really only like this kind as it doesnt kill the looks of the boat. I would call Checkmate to get one but we all know thats not possible :brickwall:. Tried Google & no luck.

That is the new style that Checkmate started using. Not sure where they got them from. Only bad thing about them is on a 2100, the area where the deck and hull meet in the back sticks out a bit farther than the step does.

Checkmate builds the fiberglass part to work with the folding part they buy from a supplier. Thats what they told me.

Call randy/wildman, that looks like one of his boats and maybe a ladder he installs.

I did PM Randy & he is going to try find out. I dont like people using the lower unit to get in as a step as the prop is very sharp & if slipped your foot would be toast.

I think that ladder is available from a place in Calif. called Eddie Marine. If they dont sell it they will know who does. The shop I used to work at in L.A. used to use these on the boats we built.

Yep, Eddie Marine. Rings a bell. They were building the fiberglass so the gel was the same colors they use.

do not recommend this type, its very hard to get under and get up on this ladder.

X2! They were going to put one of these on my 2000Pulsare and I had them find me the old style ladder. They don't stick out from the boat far enough and there is nothing to grab to pull your self on up.

I rather have something than nothing though & really dislike the look of the "old style" ladders. Plus my mooring cover will not work with a "old style" ladder.

only good thing about this ladder is the spring loaded step. that way you can never again accuse your girlfriend of leaving the ladder down!!!!:pissed:

Looks to me like you grab that handle on the side of the motor well!
