Teleflex controls

Has anyone ever installed these controls? I have OMC controls now... What do you do with the ignition switch? My current controls also have the lever on top to open the throttle while starting. Any help or knowledge anyone has about this would be appreciated. I would like to replace what I have. I just replaced all my gauges to the teleflex sterling gauges... which really cleans up the instrument panel. But the controls now look ugly.

I have never installed that contol box, but I would think that you would have to install the ignition swith in your dash somewhere. As far as idling up your engine, you push in that round black button and push the throttle forward.

Adam is right. I have brand new flush mount mercury controls and the ignition is on the dash. The Idle is controled by the button in the picture.
I had my new ignition and harness installed for under 50 dollars.

Teleflex has a good customer service department

James, when I was shopping for a new steering system I found Teleflex to be a big help. They have a tec line you can call if you have any questions or if you run into a problem with an install.

thanks for the help... im going to try to get some pictures of my boat circulating on here soon.. so I can show some support for the ENTICER's!

There was some light oxidation on the gel coat when I first got it.. i have taken care of that. If you catch it in the right light you need sun glasses to look at the metal flake!

Im hitting the water tomorrow... so hopefully I'll have some pic's for anyone whos interested.

it works just like the old mercruiser controls, you push the button and you control the throttle cable. It is a nice choice to update your boat.

Unfortunately it was an overcast day so I didnt take any pictures. I will take some soon. Thanks for the interest!
