how does anyone feel about taking your thermostats out of motor? can you run with out or must change 83 enforcer 89 200 merc carb

again, why would you want to? you won't have consistant engine temperature which could lead to a failure. the engine will run too cold.

Like Chris said keep your T-stat in do not take it out unless its bad and you need to change it. And do not take any more advice from the guy that told you to take it out.
