It is with a heavy heart that I put my beloved Checkmate up for sale. She's about as clean as you can get with NO issues!!! Motor is 5.7L 350 & is smooth & strong, Alpha One outdrive is smooth & just serviced this past fall, prop is a Mirage 21P (great hole shot, low to mid 60's top end), "all original" interior looks like new (except the carpet is a bit matted), original gel coat shines with metalflake madness (the WHOLE boat is flecked-even the black, can someone say metalflake alert?), floors & stringers are solid as the day she was built with NO rot anywhere! Ive upgraded the stereo to a JVC with Blu-tooth & USB & I also installed 15 red LED lights (on a dimmer) hidden in the cockpit & engine hatch. I'm very anal-retentive and it shows. She's always been stored indoors or on a covered lift in the summer by ALL owners (I'm the 3rd) and you would be hard pressed to find a 3 year old boat that looks this good!!! Original matching C-Hawk trailer (also in great condition) with new tries & spare, bimini top, cockpit cover & full custom cover are included along with all the original sale papers.

A short history lesson:
Checkmate stopped making the Enchanter in 1988. According to Kip Combs, there were only 4 or 5 Enchanters made (ALL custom orders) in '89... as far as he could tell they were all I/O's. Not sure what effect that would have on the value but he did acknowledge that my boat is pretty rare & should become a bit more valuable to the serious Checkmate conasuer... for what that's worth!

$8900- is a steal compared to other Enchanters I've seen for sale.

Feel free to contact me with any ???'s.
Best to contact me directly at sthiem66@gmail.com

You're going to LOVE this boat!

Man-o-man If I wasn't in the middle of a few things I would be all over that.

That is a beauty! Good luck with the sale

Hard to believe your selling the beautiful Enchanter, hope every things ok.
Also your boat pics on the water came out really nice, dont know what
they used but sure look good.

Yeah, I'm just north of Detroit... you know, the "D"!!! The boat in actually located on Secord Lk which is about 2-1/2 hrs north of Detroit, just off I-75.

Steve, thanks bud, can't wait to get her in the water! The best part is I think the wife is more excited than I am! The boat is legit, and looks even better in person...we are very excited! Going to a good home on Higgins Lake.

That boat is sweet and I hope to see you at Higgins Lk. this summer. We put in at South Higgins and usually hang out there. Congrats on the Enchanter and enjoy it. Jeff

We have a place on the west shore about a mile north of the south state park. We head down there quite a bit, so you will definitely see us! When we have the kids with us, we are ususally on the west side of the channel, and on kid-less weekends, on the party side! Either way, swing over and say hi, we will have drinks ready!

And is this the "Problem Child" that used to have a grey and yellow Powerplay 185?

We will definately look you up Dan and have some drinks. I am always thirsty when floating around. I have not ownwed a Powerplay so I must be one of the many Problem Childs out there. We go to Higgins alot so Im sure we will see you soon.
