The Rebuild Begins

Just look at all of that room and you can see almost all of the floor, it's not covered by stuff like tools, parts, Comfort bottles, and the like. I'm envious.

Wow, I wish I had that kind of clear space too. Keep the pics coming.:thumb: Jim

Sorry if I missed something linn but I thought I watched your rebuild
thread a short while back. Is this a different motor or you have some
bad luck.

The last rebuild was not a fresh short block, rather the same "stock" motor that's sitting here with 360 hours on it. It broke a ring land :shakehead:

I'm doing most of the work with help from Bill at Total Marine and Performance. He is allowing me to use a corner in his shop and providing me all of the guidance I could ask for. I'm also going to re-rig the boat this spring and work on my voltage drop issue.

The short block is off to the machine shop today, I'm hoping all it needs is new pistons as it was still running when I pulled it out of the boat.

I beat it up pretty good.

Oh dude...now we're talkin! definitely need to connect this spring/summer for sure then and compare notes on cars/boats/bikes. Drop me a line or whatnot as the weather starts to break. I have property and live in the Hocking Hills, but I have a slip/lift at Boat Boys at Buckeye Lake.

What are your 4 or 2 wheel toy/s?

Talk soon brotha!

Dean

More fuel less timing. Boy have I seen and scrapped a bunch of pistons like that in my nitrous drag car days.

Hocking Hills is awesome! Linn and I both have 4th gen F body's. I can't wait to see your 2400 out on the water.

I have a Camaro that's made over 750rwhp since 2006 and a daily that's faster than Keith's H/C WS6 :poke:

Where is Boat Boys?

LoL...funny stuff. Gotta love some good ole' ball busting between friends.

Whew...750hp is no joke fellas. I gotta check both these rides out. A hunch tells me you both may have been down National Trails a time or two. :thumb: I am more of a road course guy now(cars and bikes) but used to spend quite a bit of time at national trails. I have had a stretch of z06's...and just traded my 2013 z06 on a 15' GTR. Just picked up on December 15th... Sitting in garage now...50 miles on it.

Back to boats... Really looking forward to checking out both of your boats, and How your rebuild goes Linn. I am sure your stoked. Boat Boys is at Sayre Marina... Which is right beside the Buckeye Lake state park ramps on 79, and the yacht club. Right in the heart of downtown Buckeye Lake. Do you fellas get to Buckeye Lake much... Alum?

I just bought the 2014 Checkmate Pulsare 2400 last year. I am new to boating... Bought a 2013 Yamaha 212x the year before(1st boat)...Which was a fantastic do-all boat, but just wanted something a bit more.....well more. :D Really enjoying it and learning how to drive a pad boat. Got it running 74/75 mph on gps...but gonna mess around a bit more with props this year.

If either of you have any more pics or whatnot of your boats/cars... Would love to check them out.

Definitely looking forward to connecting mates!

Dean.

Our time is split 50/50 with Alum and Buckeye lake, with most of our time at Buckeye on the east side of the marsh, either in the swim area, Papa Poo's, Captain Woodies, Copper Penny, Winery or just hot lapping that side of the lake.

I'm looking forward to meeting more people from the site out at the lake.
