If you don't mind me asking, what are some of your previous engine specs? Like how much boost and and what size combustion chamber and compression ratio? What kind of heads? What kind of speeds were you getting out of it? I've been running a stock 330 horse 454 in my 251. I put a Weiand 177 supercharger and the Mercruiser 525 cam in it. Running about 4.5 lbs of boost. I'm running low 70's on a good day. This motor has lasted 9 years with the supercharger on it, it's time to go faster. Thanks!
Badass dude!
Did you get her out this weekend? How did she run?

We, it's alive!!! As always with my build I feel like I take one step forward only to take two steps back. I spent 5 hours on Saturday trying to figure out a wiring issues with the MSD ignition only to realize, I still had the factory key on and tach wire on the coil and the MSD wires.
Once that was figured out, I was able to get the boat started and timing set. Take the boat to the lake, idle out, check the oil and it's milky. I had water seep up on the heads from the intake manifold during initial startup tightened the bolts and it went away on the top side but, now it's leaking into the oil. So I spent all Sunday changing the oil and will change it a few more times tonight. This has been my luck with this entire project.
Note to self, don't buy used parts
First fire
Been there, got screwed on that. That is whole reason I ditched my MPI setup was it wanted to leak water in due to bad machining by Arizona Speed and Marine. Good luck and I hope you get it figured out!
What gaskets and manifold are you running? I had much better luck getting the .125 thickness gaskets to seal. I get the ones with print o seal silicone rings on them as well.
Ughhhh....dude!! Sucks about the procharger, but sounds like that baby is gonna move based on where you have it now. You gonna try and get her rebuilt and back out this year, or winter project and out fresh next spring?
Dude - thats badass on the progress. Solid numbers. Are you heading back to Cumberland this weekend, be at Alum, Salt Fork, etc?
I took my new Hustler Talon out twice so far. Once to Lake Norman, and last weekend to Salt Fork. Considering going to Alum this weekend.
Hope to meet/see you out sometime.
