I think if you search around for kite tubes you'll see some awesome videos. You'll also see some wicked crashes where people were seriously injured.

Yea....those things and the kite tubes are banned....too many people killed. We had one and it was a blast though. That was until I mad it up the full 30 ft, caught a cross wind, the thing flipped and slammed me against the water. I ruptured my ear drum on that one. That is the worst pain I have ever felt. If you get one, be VERY careful and obey the reccomended speeds. I have to admit though, it was the most fun I have ever had on a tube because it is sooooo smooth in the air, it doesn't beat you up.

Trust me it does.....slamming the water that hard takes all of the wind out of you too.....not to mention the ear drum. And from whay I have heard of those things, I got lucky. I had a friend blow his ear drum on one of those two weeks before me.

My budding bought a kite tube right when they came out and the only way we could get it in the air was at 45-50 mph. I would not get on it I took a bad spill on a round tube a few years back and I still have flash-backs of my balls getting stuck in my throat.

It looks like fun till you crash, i had a kneeboard shoot out of the water and the point came down and hit me on top of the head and knocked me out. so i will stick to a regular tube.

I found one on Craigslist about 2 months ago for $500 , they are cool ,I have a buddy on the lake with one but he says it hurts hittin the water worse then sliden down the road off his scoot !
