Through Hull Exhaust for 4.3l

Not really enough to it to make a kit. Determine your manifold outlet diameter, buy a pair of matching tips that are to your liking, buy the appropriate length of exhaust hose in the correct diameter. Oh, and plug off the stock "Y" pipe. It can be a major project to remove and block off the Y pipe. When I did my old boat I just left the Y in place and capped the ends of it.

still cant post pics because i am too new to the forum.... that crap...

nah it's all good! you can become a supporting member and upload pics here right away or you can upload your pics to photobucket and then copy and paste them here. pm me if you need any help

Should be pretty easy and not all that expensive to do. I would search Craigslist and Ebay for some used tips, then get some exhaust hose and a hole saw. I would be a bit nervous about cutting the holes in the transom. Good luck

My 183 Persuader with 4.3 was setup as described above, with the Y pipe capped off with rubber and hose clamps . Here's two things you should be aware of: First off, the V6 sounds like crap above 1500 rpms thru straight pipes. Secondly, unless you retwork or replace the carb, you'll lose a lot of power down low and on top with no back pressure. Been there, done that. My Persuader lost 5 mph on the top end when switched to the thru transom.

I think what JW is trying to say is if you want nice sounding thru hull and an engine that will perform then it's time for a built small block in this puppy :rof::thumb:
