Torque TAMER?

Combat Rock

Member
to get or not to get?

would it be worth it for my set-up or will it do nothing for me
I am running a big 24p 4blade turbo

any comments

Torque

I've used them for years and found them a help. I've not run less than 175HP since 1977 and allways with dual steering until I went hydraulic about 6 years ago on my 225 Super Mag. The Super Mag has a Sportmaster lower unit with a built in torque tab. I think they are worth it. Just my thoughts.

If it's slow it must be an OMC.

If you are running with the engine very high, it will be a BIG help. My first 21 Pulsare needed it bad even with hydraulic steering. It was a big help and they are cheap and easy to install! boatman

I agree they are worth the effort envoled. I've run with and without and it does make a difference.

cool, thanks guys,

im running about 1.5" below the pad
and theirs definately some torque their
might be a good upgarde by the sounds of it.

you should not have that much steering effort with dual cable
