Twin Cylinder Hydraulic Trim Tabs

I have a 1999 Convincor 251 with the HP500 and factory installed trim tabs. They do not have indicators. I was wondering what kind of indicators I could get, where I could get them, and about how much. Also how hard is the installation?

Thanks

They look similar to these, I guess I can take a closer look tonight, I will pull the cover off and see if there is a number or ID on them. I would really like to know the poistion for these tabs without spending a fortune. A friend of mine told me to get blue water indicators but they are super expensive

It will cost some money to add indicators but they are worth it. Just be happy you don't have Keikhaefer 280S tabs like mine they run over $3000.00

Checkrocket,

I have a '99 259 Convincor. Checkmate installed a set of Insta-Trim tabs with an electronic L.E.D. indicator. I just put on a set of Dana Performance Marine HP-1000 Trim Tabs. http://www.danamarineproducts.com/store.cfm?CFID=682305&CFTOKEN=5443515
The install went real easy, no problems at all. I also added a Gaffrig mechanical indicator for the tabs and drive. That was a little difficult to install. Trying to fit the guage and run the cables was a problem. But, the end result was worth the time and expense. Although I have not gotten a chance for a sea trial, I am hoping for a big difference from my stock set-up. I will e-mail Chris a picture of the dash and ask him to post it for me.

We handle the (ex-Gaffrig) now Livorsi indicators, as well as the Stainless Marine indicators. Either would serve your purposes. Let us know if we can help.
