Is there a problem with your engine's cooling?
Other than changing the water pump every 100 hours and changing thermostats every couple of years there's not much to be done. You don't want to go without thermostats, most of these engines run crappy if they can't warm up.

I remember years ago, a mechanic doing a modification to water system he called it, including removing the stats,
Motor always ran cool, lots of flow, and ran beautiful.
