Va member looking for a 115 or 135 merc.

I want to replace my 1986 90 merc with a 115 or 135 merc. I'm Just looking around to see what is out there. "Thanks"

I went and looked at an older bass boat this week that has a 1979 115merc. with power trim and ss prop. He wants $2500. for the complete rig. From what I could see, it's worth it. By the way, it's in West Virginia.
 
Keep in mind that somewhere around 79 they changed how they rated HP. What was a 115 in the 70's became a 90, and what was a 150 in the 70's became a 115. Your 86 Model 90hp also has the standard BIA bolt pattern and I think a 79 would still have the old narrow Mercury transom clamp bolt pattern. To upgrade, you would need an 80's 115. I have just been through all of this, so I've done some research. Hope this helps.
