Vandutch/PT Boat

So.... Does anyone like PT Boats? Three Packard Aircraft engines In a 70 plus foot wood plank boat, able to do 60 or 70 mph? I would love to pilot one in the open sea!

Thank you for that. My old man was a Gunner's Mate on PT boats. He told me many very captivating stories.

Bye the way there were 2 different classes of PT's. I Don't recall the designations, but one had the Packards and the other had 3 Allison V-12's. I think they were called Elco boats.

the PT look is back again.

was on the dusseldorf boat show in de designers floor. saw alot of new designs like vandutch alla pt boats.

TRIDECK ships is not the way to do it anymore. small design boats with huge prices, that is what i found on that floor.

a nice example is wally. WHO? yes wally. never heard of it, i said to the drawingssalesman.

came up with this as a example how it was going to look as a bigger boat:

Take a tour of a 30 million dollar Wally boat. 17,000 Horses powering 3 Jet drives. It can reach speeds over 70 knots consuming one liter of fuel every second!! This is an informative Vid, takes you through the entire boat.

Take a look.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeSz...8CC37C91&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=10
