Very Happy & Proud New Checkmate Owner!!!!!

Yup, finally i own a 1986 21' Enchanter 350 I/O!!! A dream come true...words can not describe how good it feels!!! Anyways, i found it on BoatTraderonline.com the first day it was listed and knew right away i had to have the boat, so i drove out to CT, about a 5 hour trip, and low and behold, came home with a Checkmate in tow! Coincedently, i saw 2 more out-board Enchanters being trailered during the trip! The boat is absoulutly immaculate (spelled right?), garaged kept it's whole life, and very well maintained. I couldn't be happier with the boat! The only thing it does need, at least in my opinion, is thru-hull exhaust, hopefully i can get that installed before the end of the boating season. Well, i'll be asking a few questions in the near future, but for now heres a couple pics of my new Enchanter!!

Well worth the trip.

Its hard to find them in that type of shape.Garage kept boats are usually the best. The seats & floors stay dry and the gel doesn't get baked by the sun constantly. That engine compartment is tight to work in.Thru hulls usually come out the transom right at the water line on those boats.A friend of mine has an 85 Enchanter 260 hp Black w/ gold metallic.Good luck

Hey thanks guys! I can't wait to get her on the water. Should be all registered and insured by next weekend so i will definatly be hiting the lake! The previous owner said it would run in the low 60's (actual speed, not speedometer speed) so i'm looking foward to that! As soon as i can get some more shots of the boat, i'll post them over in the Picture This forum! Catch ya'll later!

hey dude congrats on the new boat, she looks mint, you got you dream boat, now i just gotta find the same thing but with a O/B make sure to keep that shine on the new enchanter!

85Predictor120, hey man, i doubt you'll have much trouble finding one, just keep checkin the Boat Traders! If it worked for me, i'm sure it'll work for you! Good luck, hope ya find one soon!

Eriktheviking, I'm up in Elmira NY, I plan on doin most of my boating on the finger lakes, mainly Keuka and Seneca. Where are you out of?

Hey thanks Jupiter!

Erik, thats cool, i got to go over the Hundson on my way out to CT to pick up the boat...lived in NY all 23 years of my life and never been that far east in NY state before! Yeah the finger lakes are beautifull, my parents used to have a cottage on Keuka lake, which is how i got into performance boats. Can't wait to get the boat up there this weekend!!

Congratulations! I live in Ithaca and work in Elmira. My Tri-Mate is on Cayuga at Myer's Point. Enjoy!

Diane

Thanks Diane, guess you're not to far away! Next year i will probably venture over to Cayuga once or twice, maybe i will see ya there!
