Visiting Great Sagandaga Lake soon

Ill be boating on the Great Sagandaga lake next weekend for the first time. Can anyone give me some info on what to do, where to go, where not to go, ect. Thanks

If you stay in the channels you will be fine. Sand Island is a good spot to hang out along with the sandbar at the Northampton campground. Sport Island Pub, Lakeside and Lanzi's a decent places to eat. The lake right now is still pretty high so there is plenty of places to run. Stay out of the Trap Islands and you should be good.

I launch every weekend at the State Launch. If your heading south on the lake you will see a couple islands just past the Northampton campground. Don't go through them as the water can get down to 2 feet and there are boulders in there as well. You will see the danger markers. If you have any questions feel free to give me a shout after 5pm any day this week, 518-258-5473. Chris
