Now looking for an excellent condition year 2000 or 2001 Pulsare 2100 bow-rider in excellent condition near south west michigan. NADA puts an '01 2100BR/ 225 efi motor/ single axle trailer at around $16k average retail. Whatcha got? I'm looking at options. I'm ready to buy.

good luck, sellers are not going by that book at this time, trust me i know!16k might find ya a 97-98

No problem, I have all winter :p

I can go a little higher if the '00 or '01 has an Optimax. I'll also consider a little older for less $$. But either way, NADA rules at my house :surf:

My advantage to a seller is I know what I'm looking for, I have the money in hand (no screwing around with bank loans) and they'll know it's going to a good home.

i got money burning a hole in my pocket also, i know what i want also,i have a good home also..........all that does not change the market though. i will keep an eye out for you as i search, but if i find a 2001,225hp for 16k.....its mine bow rider or not.

it has been for sale for a long time. in my case, the color is wrong, and the deal is not sweet enough for the long drive. i am suprised it is still for sale though. no competion here, i really don't want to spend 16k on a boat, but i would if it was a killer deal. 16k for a execellent condition 2001 225 hp 2100 bowrider, is on the verge of killer deal. good luck, i will contact you if i stumble on a nice 2100br.

i apologize for the "high jack" of your thread. i did not mean to make this a place to talk about the checkmate market. go ahead an deleate everything if you would like too.

Pulsare

JW,

Check with Hotbeek. He has a bowrider that he was looking at selling for a tunnel. Great condition and located in WI.

Thanks Inline! Did he list it here for sale?

EDIT: Never mind, his motor isn't stock. I forgot to say in my original ad that I want a stock/unmodified motor. 3 liter or bigger.

ttt, lol. thanks jw, but it has to be a pulsare c/d. i don't want a bow rider, in the other post i should have said "for 16k its mine even if it is a bowrider"

OK, you want long deck and I want open bow, that works for both of us! I'll keep my eye out for you too. Would you be interested in an Allison Grand Sport Ski? I know of two or three available with different motors.

That black closed deck I/O on ABL would sound really good with that 454..........

Just for curiousity sake I NADA'd my 2000 Pulsare BR 225efi. Boat, motor and trailer come up to $17945. If you add up a set of covers(mooring, cockpit and bow) it's like $970 added on. Then include a hydraulic jackplate, a cd/stereo, a four blade prop, hydraulic steering etc. When you start to total all the options on the boat they can easily total more than $3000.

I NADA'd a 2001 BR without hydraulic steering, hydraulic jackplate and covers. Included a AM/FM stereo cassette, a three blade stainless prop, a 2001 225 EFI, and a plain single axle trailer. I came up with $16090. I guess it could happen. Might have better luck finding one with an older motor and a few more options that you'll probably want.

Good Luck !

When I did NADA this afternoon on a 2001 I only figured a standard 20" 3.0 225 efi, a 2100BR Pulsare with a stainless 3-blade prop, and a single axle plain C-Hawk trailer with no options and it came to $16,100 average retail. So yes, a strippo.

I'll go more for the right motor (bone stock Opti) and less for older packages, of course adding for desireable options.

Hotbeek, you thinking of maybe selling the rigged boat and trailer minus the motor?

I was really leaning that way. I was looking at putting my power on a cat. I had some one with a 21' Liberator that wanted to swap hulls. His boat was like a 1996. He was located in WI also. I guess I'm finding it hard to part with the open bow. I love the speed and handling of a cat but it's not really "family and friends" orientated. A while ago I had some tips on an open bow cat which would have been perfect !!! I guess I'm still searching but in the mean time I have got some incredible testing and results from my upgrades. I'm just not sure where to draw the line. I thought 80 was it for a while now I'm closing in on 85. I have not yet put it away for the winter. I'm planning on making one more run yet this year. It will probably be 30*-40* but this motor really loves the cool air and I love the results. I've been in contact with another gentleman from Ohio who's also looking for a Pulsare BR.

JW what makes you like the BR more so than the Closed/Long Deck ? Family ?

I know kct11 is looking exclusively for a Closed/Long Deck ?

No matter if they're closed or open the Pulsare's are a HOT Boat !!

Good Luck with the searches !

I'll let you know if I decide to sell. It would most likely be without power.

While I like the look of the closed bow better, that open bow is just so much better for family and large group boating. I had 10 people in my Pulsare BR for a day of tubing and cruising! 4 adults and 6 kids can fit without crowding in the open bow version.

I would be interested in a Pulsare BR without power, so let me know what you decide.

Paul,

At least you won't have to worry about traffic on the river or at the launch ramp!!! Let me know when you are going to make your run. I would love to see that 85 MPH pass.

Rick

Rick,

No doubt about the traffic. Unfortunately there's nothing but a pit left at launch. They have now removed the all dock sections. I just leave my vehicle and trailer parked in the pit. Anyone else crazy enough to be on the river at this time of year shouldn't be on the same stretch river !!

I know from being the past owner of a Checkmate Spectra 170 bow rider/Merc 150 that the kids loved riding in the open bow ....but, from a personal standpoint, I've never enjoyed taking a busload of people on my boat. The wear and tear, spilled drinks, chip crumbs crushed into the carpet, noone to help clean the boat at the end of the day, :pissed:etc. etc. just makes me appreciate my long deck Pulsare even more. I generally take no more than 4 people (and that's even a crowd)....most everyone I hang out with allready has a boat so we run together on weekends. The Playpen also has distinct advantages!
