I'm looking for the large diameter black loom that I see on some boats that neatens the routings of the lines to the motor. Anyone know who sells them?

Tech Tip of the day...
Go to a Home Depot, Lowes, hardware store, etc.

Purchase a package of "sump pump ejection hose"
You can get it in 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" black, and 20-25 feet is around $10. You can even slit it if you don't want to fish all the wires thru...

Otherwise, Eddie marine, Rex marine, etc. make some nice outboard hose rigging kits with fittings for the motor & hull but they are not cheap!!!

I picked that stuff up at an auto supply store. I'm using 3 diffrent dia. Up to 2in. Then just place black zip ties every 3-5 inches, trim neatly and you have great looking job for less $20 bucks. Done mine 10 yrs ago and it still looks fine.

P.S. wheres about in S.E. michigan you boat.

Thanks Everyone. I need about 2 feet for the electric & about 3 feet if I want to loom the shifter cables & fuel line. If I do the fuel line I'll have to leave room for the squeeze bulb. I'll decide when I do the instalation.

Just love it when I can get boat parts at home depot.

I live in Troy but normally keep the boat up north of Traverse City. Being as I'm working on it I will probably keep it here for awhile.

It would be great to meet you guys somewhere while I have the boat down here. My steering cable will be in any day now & then I'll be ready.

Still looking for a nice trailer, new or used. The current one detracts from my rig. Hoping to keep the price between 8 & 15 hundred.

Thanks for the ideas.

John

Another "tech tip" from your Livonia Checkmate bud... Move the primer bulb inside the boat so that only the line is in the motor well... (just flip up the back seat to prime it, that way you get a nice CLEAN install and can cover ALL the motor life lines!
