What are my boasrding ladder options?

My old boarding ladder has been pretty well abused and beaten and really needs replacing. I am having a hard time finding one that is compatible with the original 81 Enticer mounting holes. Is there anything out there in the way of a 3 rung folding ladder that will work? Any other style that looks good and is functional if that's not the case? ?

Wired, If you get hold of this guy, let us know whats up GOOD or BAD either way. Its been5-7 yrs since Italked to him. thanks

I'd be interest in seeing what others have done for boarding ladders for a Predictor, I'd like to add one next year, I'm getting too old and fat to climb up the outboard like we've been doing the past 2 years.

I placed the order with aquarius products. $275 for a new all stainless steel ladder in the same pattern as the original

Thats cool! Good price too. Wish i had this info when i had my 87 diplomat. That ladder needed work. Take before/after pics for us:D

Heres the original manufacturer of your ladder, great Guy all he needs is your vin # or a certain # from checkmate. I can't remember but worth looking into. you can't beat the original!

This is really great info, Thank you both for the up date on this

I have been restoring a 1978 Convincer, Mike at Checkmate told me about Aquarius and I ordered a ladder from them. I just recieved the ladder and The quality is far superior to the stock aluminum one.

They also told me that they could build me a complete side rail set with end caps, standoffs and tubing out of stainless steel for $300.

Wired - can you put up a photo or two when you receive the ladder?
Also what fitment will it have? (4 on topside or 2 on top and 2 on transom)

I'm looking out for one for my 1980 Enticer. It has 4 mounting bolts (currently with plastic caps on them) on one side of the transom, and if I could find something to match the bolt pattern it would be an easy fit.

It will be a couple of weeks but I'll post a pic when it comes in. I'm excited about this. I havent found a decent aftermarket ladder that even came close to fitting the bill.

I sent that check off last week and I called this morning to get an idea when they would be starting on it and they shipped it out yesterday. I wasn't expecting it until mid next month. Woohoo.

OK Now I'm done. I had the ladder built by Aquarius in stainless instead of the original aluminum. Most of the holes lined up but not all. It was close enough to cover the holes I had filled. in when I replaced the transom wood.

I had to take a grueling 6 hour boaters course the other day to get my Oregon Boaters Card. Turns out I just found out I needed one in Washington too but I never knew it and never got caught out on the water without it.

Ladder looks great! Now save some coin for something in black to hang next to it:lol:

Next winters project is rebuilding a 140 powerhead for the 90 motor. Oregon frowns on installing a motor greater than the rated capacity and an honest 125-130 HP will have more than enough oomph for my needs. I do like the compact V-4 Johnsons. Even the 90 runs like a champ.
