what is it

http://baltimore.craigslist.org/boa/3153908893.html

For sale (or trade): 19 foot checkmate with LOADRITE roller trailer (have title but have not registered the trailer).

I have a beautiful 1987, 19 foot checkmate that's really fast with a (1987) 2.4L 200hp Mercury 2 stroke engine that was done over a few years ago and needs nothing! That's right, get in, turn the key and just go! I just put 2+ coats of interlux bottom paint on the boat less than a month ago for the new season. I also put one coat of wax on it but to really look superb, you'll need to put a few more coats on it. I'm anal retentive but am happy with the way it looks for a '87 boat!

The engine has a few mods that I'm aware of (probably forgetting a few things):

* Crescant Leading Edge (CLE) Lower Unit (have to use a nose cone vs. typical rabbit ears)
* Race prop (Was told it's about $600 for this prop)
* Bob's Machine velocity stacks
* Bob's Machine stabilizer
* Custom jacking plate (to go up/down with the whole outboard)
* Aftermarket stereo with 4 speakers and amp.
* Electric fuel pump w/regulator

Interior is in good shape although it will need new carpet after this year is over.

Only reason I'm selling is that I really want a fishing boat (20-26 foot with cuddy cabin) and willing to do some trading (my boat + cash) if you're interested.

BTW, please do NOT waste my time with ridiculous offers. My boat is turn key, on a lift on the water and ready to go. Just turn the key and go. It's a 60+mph machine so if you don't want to go fast or are afraid to go fast, this is NOT the boat for you!

I've never seen a splashwell on a mate like the one in the pix. Nor the style line on the deck. At first i thought it was an Exciter OB but I don't think so. And 87 is to early for a Spectra. Maybe Coop will know.

The owner doesn't know?
If it didn't have the stickers on it I'd think it wasn't a checkmate.
The lines are like none I can find in the gallery.:confused:

Ask the owner what the HIN that is stamped in the back of the boat.

Then report back here with it. ;)

Maybe it's just me, but in the one pic it looks as if the hull is white, in the second pic, it looks like it's blue with the Checkmate script on the side.

When the seller mentions he painted the bottom, does he mean he painted the entire hull from the rub rail down? Looking at the pics, it almost looks that way.

i believe it is an exciter

I second looked that model as well but,
The deck lines aren't there, splash well is not the same.

Chris,
The colors do look different. Everything else in the pics appear to be the same time taken but yes it does look like two colors.

This one has me stumped.
COOP, were are you:D

I believe the lines are lost in the picture with the all white front deck. the ladder missing also changes the look a little. too much white and too much sun is making it look flat. well at least in my eyes
