What is the Rating?

I have a line on a late 70s, 17ft checkmate. It is the closed bow version. Just wondering about what this boat is rated for and what kind of speed you can get out of it. I have a Johnson 135hp that i already plan on putting on there. I modified the engine a little porting it and putting some boysen power reeds in it so im not sure exactly how much horsepower im getting out of it. If anyone has any experience with this and would like to provide me with some information it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hey Hondam,

Not sure what model you have. Look through the catalogs on this site. It will tell you all about your boat. You can tell the year of the boat by the hull numbers on the back. As far as speed, setup is the key. (Engine setback, engine height, and prop) Post some pictures of your boat:)

If you need help you can email them to me adam@svmaaa.com
