There is a 93 Pursuader in my area up for sale I was wondering in anyone can comment on what the boat is worth and a fair purchase price would be. It is in pretty good shape and I am considering a purchase.

Niiiice! Got the much needed awning and tinted windows. :thumb: Am I seeing bottom paint on it though? :shakehead: If it's an AZ boat, why would they paint the bottom?

I did get a little history on it, it was up in Havasu since it was bought new and the person I bought it from was the 2nd owner. He said the first owner was considering moving to San Diego and painted the bottom with some grey primer looking stuff to protect it from salt water... Now I am not up to snuff on the salt water coating but I am looking at ways to restore it back down to the gelcoat? I will be reading up on wetsanding etc... and any input or direction would really be welcomed!!!:eyecrazy:

The only reason bottom paint stinks is that it will rob you of a few mph and it doesn't make the boat look fast when it's out of the water. other than that, if you aren't worried about every tenth of a mph, i would sweat it. Taking bottom paint off will likely require an enormous amount of work, plus a respray of top coat on the hull. I'd run it for a year or two. it will start flaking off by itself and will be easier to remove :thumb:

You do have a good point there about running for a season or 2 and let the paint flake off? That is if I can stand to look at it for that long LOL

Thanks for your replies, more pics coming soon!!!

My wife says I have to sell the jetmate II when I complete the interiior :(
I guess I will leave her at the dock :)

You're not kidding, look like crap! I'm looking at my dads 24' Grady right now, with flaking bottom paint. He's having a boat lift installed right now bc he hates to paint the dern thing every year :shakehead:
