WILD BOATING STORIES

forgot about early september when my mom was in the pasanger seat and my dad was driving while i was in the back seat holding on. it was the perfect day out in the bay, really hot, light wind, and like no other boats. we were goin as fast as we could in many many spots. but then out of no where like 5 7-10 ft rollers showed up and my dad just threw the throttle back and we hit the waves sooo hard my mom came out of the seat(wasnt holding on) and went all the way up to the bow of the boat. when we finaly stoped bouncing from the waves and the boat stoped my dad stood up and looked back for my mom thinking she flew out. come to think of it she still hasnt been in the boat sence.

ONe of the first times I had the trimate out with the family. Engine was all broke in and I was ready to start running the boat hard. Now keep in mind my last boat was a 18' sea ray. What a tank. Anyway we where running down river having a great time when a cruser came by. I slowed down to take the waves. The 1st one was fine, stuff the 2nd one, water everywhere. I then realized the little trimate was nothing like the sea ray. Well as the day wore on we came up on another cruser. Figured I would try something a bit different after what happened the first time. I slowed down a bit and as we started up the fist wave of the wake I nailed the throttle, Oops, not a good thing. Forgot about the power to weight thing, anyway the boat went vertical, engine screaming, everythining was out of the water. So here we are flying throught the air, watching everthing go flying, wondering if the wife is going to stay in the boat, and wondering how the heck I am going to reach the throttle with out taking my hands off the wheel. Came down nice and killed the throttle. What a ride. Wife was pissed, installed a hot foot soon after.
