Guys I'm looking for the windshield fasteners that hold it down to the deck. Here's some pictures. I'm not sure what you call them, kind of looked around Taylormade makes a version but they aren't straight.

When we needed a couple for my windshield, we used a grinding wheel and a regular hex head bolt to duplicate the portion that fits into the windshield.

They're called t-bolts.

I saw them online somewhere, but I don't remember where. Check with the big bolt places, like McMaster-Carr.

McMaster-Carr has them also called a tugger bolt. They don't have SS though just a black finish. I guess that should be alright underneath the console and gunnells.

I sheared several when I took my windshield off because the nuts had corroded to the bolt, so maybe they weren't SS to begin with. The part that wasn't corroded was black.

I did the same thing. I looked at the others today and suprised the t-bolts aren't SS.

Just talked to Mike @ Checkmate, got 18 T-bolts with washers and nylon nuts for $18.00. I found out that Taylormade windshields are screwed in from the top now and not underneath.

You know, I'm not sure. I would assume they're stainless those on the boat are.

When I bought my new stainless "T" bolts from the factory the nuts weren't
stainless. I bought stainless nyloc nuts and used them. The original nuts weren't stainless, that is why the bolts broke off when I tried to remove them.

That's what I was assuming the nylon nuts were for, so a metal nut doesn't corrode to the bolt.

Once the T-bolts arrive I'll change the washers and nuts to stainless. I shouldn't assume all the hardware was stainless!!:shakehead:
