sorry that this for the late reply, i am still not done with the insurense, i don't want the boat repaird, she is baddly damaged, what you guys thinking about a baja h2x dont get hit me please

bubba . i sure understand about not wanting it repaired . if i couldn't get the factory to do the job . i would also want it totaled. figure you're up against a rock and a hard place in your area with lack of checkmate dealers . as for baja , i spent a couple hours the other night on their www.teambaja.com site , their complaint section to be exact . i think there is a thread re the model you mentioned . it seems among other things rot caused by not coating their drain holes etc is a common problem in all baja's.interesting reading at least. while over the years i have sometimes complained that checkmate could have done things differently , my only real problems have had to do with thehinges on the engine hatches. one of the other things i learned in reading all this was that baja co. monitors that site and often quietly trys to help the customer when possible.maybe a private message to kip would be in order here. hope that the factory can find a way to help out one of oour own!!!
 
BUBBA, KEEP THE CHECKMATE IF YOU CAN. FASTER, BETTER LOOKING AND BETTER BUILT. BAJAS DEPRECIATE IN VALUE ALOT, MOST CHECKMATES HOLD THEIR VALUE QUITE WELL, AND YOUR PULSARE IS CHECKMATE'S #1 OUTBOARD MODEL BUILT. POST SOME PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE IF YOU CAN AND YOU MAY BE SURPRISED HOW EASILY IT CAN BE REPAIRED.

jupiter . i've never seen any fiberglass repair that was flawless. and we don't know how common repairing a performance boat is in holland. so if it has to be repaired we are putting a lot of faith in local talent . if its not repaired to as new condition , i would not be happy myself. i would also be looking to get it totalled by the ins co and start new . this is why we have insurance ....hopefully kip is following this and if there is anything at all that can be done behind the scenes, then i think that should make us all happy , but most importantly bubba. oh and btw i totally agree , no contest between checkmate and baja , but you knew that ....
 
I would love to buy a checkmate but there are no dealers around in europe, so buying one is very very hard, i tought the baja H2X with 502 magnum mpi would be a good choice ,that is close to the checkmate's

There are some decent boats out there, but Baja isn't one of them. Think of Baja as a fast bayliner and you'll understand. What is available to you over there?
 
gay liner's, searay, some monterey, many cabin boats.
just the over marketed boats which everybody also has. bubba has the same problem as i have, like the rare boats.
