Welcome to the Checkmate family!! If your boat isn't ready you can come down and hang out with us. I live in Berea and i am on Cumberland most every week end,we will have to meet up.Just wanted to say I will be the owner of a new 2011 1850BR soon. Not sure if it will be ready for the owners rally due to the leadtime from Merc on my motor. But I would still like to join all of you and welcome y'all to lake cumberland. I live in Somerset so I'm not too far from Conley bottom.
I am looking forward to joining the Checkmate family and meeting all of you.![]()
It looks like I will be able to come down Wed or Thur, I need to verify with my boss (at work), the boss at home is OK with this trip..
I'd hate to drive 400 miles to Connely Bottom and not be able to get a camp spot. I have a slide in camper for on the truck, that way I can still pull the boat. All I need is a 110 volt plug in for a small refridgerator, no air or anything fancy with this camper.
Conley Bottom told me that campsites shouldn't be problem after July 4.We even checked to make sure we were the only event that week end. Also a note on trip planning,if you done mapquest for directions to CB it might not show a new road that has just opened.Look for (i believe it is 1247) signs off of the 914 by-pass to hwy90 and Conley Bottom. This will save you a lot of traffic and lights.
Look forward to seeing you there. Hopefully Mercury can get the motor built sooner than later.
