1988 Starliner with 250 XS questions

Congrats on the boat. My dad's Starliner is an 89 with a 2017 250 XS bolted to the transom. It's seen 71 on GPS I believe. He's checking the prop and pitch and I'll post up when he gets back to me. I believe it's a 4 blade Trophy or Fury in a 24 pitch. For setback, we have none, but...

    Checkmate Powerboats to be Dissolved

I grew up boating a Starliner on the Pamlico out of Washington Park in Washington, NC. Great boat for that river and the creeks/bays in that area. Cool to hear the brand, and hopefully legacy of quality and performance, will live on!

    Questions about ZT260

As stated above, "safe" is driver judgement. Rough is also relative. What some folks call chop could be rough to another. What is this "incident" that you refer to? Chine walk, did the boat veer off course, lose control of the wheel, etc.? Do you have hydraulic steering? Also, if you are...

Should Checkmate Design a Wakeboard boat?

hull designs today rely heavily on computer modeling, prototyping, and testing. there is IP surrounding surfing technology in the bigger brands (malibu, mastercraft, supra, etc). i'm not sure that checkmate has the resources (people and/or funding) to support a new hull design that isn't in...
