    Evinrude Etec vs. Merc Opti Thread

    I've got a 300 etec on my 2100 br. great engine, no problems what so ever. usually runs anywhere between 83 to 80 mph. the only thing I wished was better was the different gear case options. I would still love to try a merc 300.

    i have 12 inches of set back on my 2009 21 pulsare ob. running 79.5 mph with 300 etec, 30p 4 blade cleaver, power jack and hydraulic steering. love the set up

    ya i checked etec owners group as well and didnt see anything either. i just stopped by my dealer and dropped off some props that he let me try and he told me he had something to make me faster.

    brp has a chip for the 300 etec to add 10% more hp. so if anyone else is running the etec 300 talk to your dealer.

    21 pulsare ob 330 hp etec 28 pitch prop anywhere from 75 to 78. i want to go faster though!
