    1996 Pulse 186 with 250 Pro Xb

Im considering selling my Pulse, I bought it this spring and absolutely Love this boat.. but its so nice, I feel like I'm not going to get my full use out of it. Im not sure if i want to add any more setback. It pourpoises pretty bad anything under 40, and i think it lifts the bow more than enough.. its got a lot of weight hanging back there! Going to try a 26 trophy and go from there. Ill be happy with 75. Thanks for the comments!

    Windshield for Pulse 186

Im looking for a black framed windshield for my Pulse... havent seen one anywhere. Is there any companies that make them? I know i could paint it, but it never seems to stick and the snaps for the cockpit cover would pose a challenge. Thanks!

Help! I found some soft spots!

I assumed the boat was well cared for because the exterior is in excellent shape, and i was told its origional. I was very surprised to find rot, but i suppose it doesnt take long to rot once you start running screws through the glass into the wood..

    CMC or Bobs Jackplate?

I havent looked into rebuild kits. I assume Bobs would be easier to rebuild with the remote pump though..

    CMC or Bobs Jackplate?

My Pulse 186 came with a CMC jackplate, but I have a Bobs plate from my other boat. Both are 6" plates. Which is the better plate? I like the Bobs because it is quieter and there is less clutter by the motor, but the pump has to mount somewhere in the boat. What do you guys think? Keep the CMC...

Help! I found some soft spots!

Well, i pulled the tank out of my new 1996 186 pulse for cleaning, and didnt like what i found.. the floor was soft and crunchy under the rear bench on the driver side. The floor was soft about half way to the transom on both sides where there is no carpet. The stringers? that run along the tank...
