    Block wiped out????

I found that after they wear a while, the ends become sharp (squared off) and cut into the block as they rotate! When rebuilding... chamfer the end so it doesn't cut! Block is soft material.

    Buyer beware!

If your problem is water reversion, or cracked manifolds, you will STILL have a problem! You MUST address the problem first! Diagnosis and repair before you rebuild, or you're wasting your money!

Proper Starting - I didn't think I was an idiot, but I just may be!

All the advice here is correct! Pump the primer 'till it's rock hard, push the enrichener button in for 6 to 8 sec. BEFORE cranking, and hold while cranking. You cannot flood a cold inline! One carb. feeds two cyls. so you're trying to get it rich enough for both! The fuel level will be...

Merc Inline '81 and up 115s and older 150s

Stainless props are more efficient! I ran a 24" Turbo at 6300 and got 63 mph on my Predictor. Also had a jack plate with 5" setback set to 1 1/2" below, LWP lower, moved tank back as far as it could go, battery moved to port side (balance) Put a 200 XRi on it and couldn't drive it over high...
