Checkmate 15 ft 2 seater was made for one purpose, to go real real fast. The boat was completely re-built adding lots of floatation foam to make it almost unsinkable. This boat is very light and has a hydraulic jack plate lift. The 1971 125 hp merc had no trouble getting past the 70 mph.. The newer motors are lighter and maybe you could put a 175 hp??Or if you are really crazy a 225hp and set some records. Has transom bracing and is built for speed.
