I hear ya on that Brian . One day of working on the boat takes me a whole week to recover lol.

Coming along pretty good. I'd like to stress I have no idea what I'm doing doing but I don't know that so its working OK for me. I still need some grey vinyl and a piping foot for the old ladies sewing machine but the foam looks like it is supposed to I guess. The "captains " and passenger seats needs to move back a bit and inboard too. Nitpicky stuff. As soon as I get the electrical panel it will be seaworthy. I'd expect interior completion by the end of the month which should be a few months ahead of schedule. I did manage to run some 1200 grit paper over the oxidized gel coat and it came out pretty smooth a little compound and wax and it should go a few years before needing paint.

Its no joke. I literally have never done anything like this on a boat. I've just about run out of interior stuff to do until the piping foot I ordered for the old ladies sewing machine comes in. I tried it out last night with the leather needle and thick upholstery polyester thread and it sewed just fine . I havent touched a sewing machine since Home Ec 28 years ago so it too a few minutes to figure it out but it seems pretty simple.

Thanks for posting this! My Enticer has the beer cooler built into the back row of seats but otherwise is very similar. Keep those pics coming and good luck on the project!!

Day 60 and still a work in process. No fancy interior graphics but it never had those anyway. I should be able to finish up the front by the 10th ( two month mark ) which will put it in line with my best OCD efforts. Not quite done as I'm waiting on an electrical panel but just a couple of weeks from completion.

Nothing is better for tubing than a speed knob. I moved the two right side gauges to the left and added a volt gauge. New teleflex gauges and I added 6 panel LED's to really light thing up. I also pulled the original gummed up rack and pinion setup and installed a teleflex rotary steering box. I installed a 5 gang paneltronix electrical box. Its a well made unit but the main reason was it is one of the few panels available that would completely cover the old gauge and panel holes. I'll finish wiring it up in the morning.

The boat looks great, Wired! A little rubbing compound or a 1200 wet sand would make the windshield frame look like new.

This is after a 1000 grit wet sand and some rubbing compound. I'll polish and wax it next week once I get some "finesse it" polishing compound and some decent wax in the mail. The local stores have crap for polish and wax.

It polished and waxed up pretty well. I wanted to leave the side rails off and fill the holes with Gel Coat but the old lady wanted them on. I had to strip the anodizing off the side rails with sodium hydroxide since it was shot and hand polish all the rails. Anodizing does not polish. Took a bit of time but it tuned out good. I might have to re-polish every now and then but natural polished aluminum looks so much better than anodized. A few layers of wax and it will go months before needing a quick touchup. I'll have to start on the rub rails here pretty soon.

Thats it. I'm done. This will be the first day in 90 or so days that I just can't think of anything to do on the boat. All the chunks of broken gel coat have been filled and color matched, The whole interior has been redone, all new wood transom forward, new electrical, steering, gauges , boats polished and waxed, anodizing is stripped off and aluminum polished and waxed etc. . I have a few trailer things to do yet and I'm not done with the boat until the rub rail rubber is installed which is on order but for all intents and stuff this thing is ready to float. I picked up a 17 pitch solas 4 blade stainless prop which I'm dying to try out in the spring. Hell, I might just go down and get it registered and drop it in the water in the next few weeks long enough to freeze my ass off. Good thing is we have a boat dock at work and the marina is 1/4 mile away.


I went down with my old man in 1981 and helped pick this boat out. It will be nice to get her on the water again.
