You would enjoy the Hudson no locks so can rip all the way to. NYC if u want to. Do you go to the clam steam? My buddy ha a house not too far and runs a red and black 25 out there on the Mohawk. Let's try and meet up. Also I am going to the Sacandaga run 1st week of June sounds like a good time

I also heard good things and called them to discuss prop options will need to test the 19p for some data and my 23p to try and get him a better idea where I start. Good luck on the new props

Yes I finally did get it !!!
I did a full detail on it and it looks real nice. I have not had it out yet finally got insurance on it the other night and have all paperwork filled out going to DMV Friday-Weekend looks like rain so it may be Memorial Day fo the first outing. I am getting anxious now to try it out and see how it performs. I will def keep you posted on speeds and how the 19P does. I will also try and get some pics and post them on here. Heard it is not easy to do though? :bigthumb:

UPDATE- 1st run was last night finally. Boat ran perfect and all was good. The water was a bit on the calm side so I think that may have had an effect on speeds as when it hit some light chop it seemed to air out and feel lighter. Speedo 63 MPH --GPS 60 MPH 19P mirage plus 3 blade running at 4900 rpm-If i tried to trim up to 5000 it seemed to blow out and lose speed. 350 mag mpi 300 HP. I think with some better chop 62 is possible. All in all I am happy and think that is respectible for a small block it planned nice and had 3/4 tank of fuel also 2 people on board.

Where did you go? On the Hudson? I have been to Clam Steam once, By car. Glad to hear you got out. Monday looks like the best day, So far.

Hi Don. I went to the mohawk launched at halfmoon went pats the clam steam about 730 just a quick test make sure all is good. There was some stuff floating but not too bad. I plan on going to Sacandaga Sunday weather permitting. Monday I may go back out for a bit not sure if Hudson or Mohawk yet. Are you goimg out? Damn water is too calm for my boat out there..ahhahaha

Well my boat is still covered and not at my place. So no boating this weekend. I have been working on my Stang to get it up and running this year. So the boat has been on the back burner for now. Plan to dig it out in the next few weeks. I usually drop my in at Lock 6 but Blains Bay said I can drop in there free because of things I have helped them out with. I'll let you know so we can meet up.

Looks like that prop is biting well. 7% slip is real nice.

I bet with a 21P and turning 4700 you would see 63 mph for sure.

Do you find that with some chop the speeds increase on this hull? It was dead calm out and when I hit some 5" chop it picked up a bit felt lighter. My Outlaw would run 3 MPH slower without chop neded a good 10" chop to get speed. All in all the 19P performed pretty well I was curious about a Revolution 4 21 P. There is one for sale local and seems like that may be good also. RGP uses a bravo 4 22P but is down on RPM so that may be a nice option?

If I was in your position and going to try a larger prop it would be a 21. You may find that it works well with no load but may have to run the 19 to cary any weight.

I don't get much chop on the river here so I can't comment on that.

a 21p revolution 4 would be too big for you I think. They turn hard and are realistically more like a 22p. Going to a 19p Rev 4 might be a better option and I think you would still loose a 200+ rpm. With the SBC you want to keep those rpm's up as much as you can.

If you know anybody with a 21" trophy prop, give it a try. The smaller diameter 4 blade might help that sbc turn harder yet have higher pitch.

I'm in the chesapeake bay so I see a lot of chop. My boat does like the chop better than completely smooth water. I ran with a few big block guys on Tuesday and held my own very well. Outran a 251 with a 454!

Thanks for the info. I agree need the Rpm on this motor for speed. More seat time Sunday in rougher water will report back how I make out. Thanks for the replies as always .

RGP111 the 22 P is turning 4500 rpm and the speed is 62 is that a true gps speed? I hit 60 on GPS 19p 4900 rpm will not let me hit 5000 starts to lose speed. If u get that 22 worked and turn 4800 that will run awesome!!!! I ran mine in some good chop performed well no addtl speed.. I think I want a 4 blade for better cruise speed and handling.

I spoke with hydromotive-He is saying that I may have a 1.36 ratio vs the usual 1.50. That would make sense as to why I am only running a 19P and RGP has a 22 Bravo 1. They want to make me a 14 3/4X19 P 4 blade quad 4.. Any thoughts on that ? $800 is not cheap but they make a nice prop..
