2400 Pulsare with flame and horsehead graphics

Jrumon, I finished rigging the 21 yesterday. I put an 800watt Rockford Fosgate stereo in it today. I'm waiting for the wind and rain to stop so I can test it out.

Wildman... So what is your final rigging set-up on this 21 now???

It's my personall boat. Gotta have a "KILLER" demo boat ya know. I have 5 props to try on a 1.75 Sportmaster. After I find the best one, I'll change to a 1.75 Fleetmaster with a Bob's nosecone. My 21ft Rallysport was 5mph faster with the Fleetmaster. The props I'll try are: 27 Trophy, 28 Trophy, 27 Hydromotive 4 blade that's been labbed, 27 Mazco HP4, and a 28 Performance Propeller "DRAG 4". I'm running a custom 12" setback bracket with a 4.5" Gorrilla 7" lift hydraulic jackplate. I also think the killer stereo will make it feel faster.

WILDMAN... I have a sweet custom 28p 5-blade "ET" style available as well!

If I get to Florida sometime this winter,
I'll bring it with me, but I want a ride!!!

Jrumon, If you can, call me tonight. I have some setup questions. I took the 21 out today. Kinda disappointing. 386-788-4378

SCT has a lot of seat time with the closed deck 2100 with a 225 EFI and a 300 and then an open bow with a 300X. Maybe he'll see this and pitch in too.

You're running more setback than anyone has done before with a 300X. Did you get some porpoising?

No porpoise whatsoever. The boat was a little hard to handle around 80 by myself. Put a passenger in it, and it settled right down. I was running 27-28 pitch props and rpm was only 6000-6200. I think the Sportmaster slowed me down. I brought a noseconed Fleetmaster with me, but I forgot that the studs are different. Best I saw was 83.7 mph. Best engine hieght was about 1"-1.5" below the pad. What prop worked the best on yours?

WILDMAN... just saw your posting so I'll call you tonight.

I also swapped from a sportmaster over to a nose-coned fleetmaster housing on my Starflight/300... it saw 2mph gain top end and 3-4mph gain with the motor deep cruising at 3500rpm. My motor height was only 1/2" below the bottom of the "V" but that was with a 10" CMC and the starflight has a 6" notched transom... and 87.1 mph. I really think my 5-blade ET prop would have gottten the slip of the 28 chopper II down enough for 90+mph. You may have to move your battery and trim pump to the port side for single driver balance (I did). Jim

With a 225 Pro XS it's running around 70.......also thought i'd let you guys know the Bow Rider 2400 is done we are building the first one now! I'll send some pic's to Chris to post asap !

Kip... any of these 2400's run a bigger motor yet? 275 Verado, 300X, 300 V-max or ???

VERY INTERESTED in more info on the 2400BR

ANYONE know how this 2400 hull runs with a 300 yet???
icon_confused.gif

Merc 300X, Yama 300 HPDI, soon to be 300 ETEC???

I may be ordering a 24 closed deck next week. It will get a new 2005 300x on it. Jrumon, let me get you a price at least, if you buy a new one.

Thanks Randy! I'm just thinking for a future boat, and like OB power... Shoot me some photos of your 2400...are YOU rigging that one? Jim.

P.S. If anyone is interested in knowing about that 21 Sonic hull for handling, condition, etc. Have them call or e-mail me... was a great boat!
